South Tyne Drilling have used the continuous flight augering technique for the past 19 years to great success on landfill sites. This method is widely regarded as the quickest and most efficient method of drilling the standard 300/350mm gas well. Many of our clients request the flight augering technique when placing an order because of the efficient and cost effective nature of this method.

Pin Wells
Originally used as a short-term cost effective measure for gas extraction, pin wells (or mini wells) are becoming increasingly popular as their longevity becomes more evident. Pin wells are most commonly used in active landfill cells where tipping over the top of the wells will take place, or on the perimeter of cells to act as a curtain to prevent migration. 6, 9 or 12 metre pin wells are currently offered.
